Zhang Li Meets with Official Delegation of Extremadura, Spain

On the afternoon of October 13, an official delegation of Extremadura, Spain visited China Power Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd. (CPECC), a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (Energy China), and exchanged ideas with Zhang Li, a member of the Party Standing Committee and Deputy General Manager of CPECC about cooperation in new energy and power planning. Seven senior government officials and heads of relevant institutions, including Guillermo Santamaría Galdón, Minister of Economy, Employment and Digital Transformation in Extremadura, took part in the meeting.

After extending welcome, Zhang Li briefed the delegation on the overall situation of CPECC and Energy China, the layout of international business, and the business development in Europe. He said that CPECC boasts rich engineering experience and good technical and investment strength in energy development. There is a solid foundation and wide space for the cooperation between the two parties. By further leveraging advantages and potentials of CPECC’s subsidiary in Spain, he hoped to carry out more in-depth and all-round cooperation with the government and enterprises in Extremadura and help the region and Spain transform the energy structure and increase the supply of green and clean energy.

 

Guillermo Santamaría Galdón appreciated the comprehensive strength of CPECC, particularly its expertise in planning & consulting, EPC, and new energy investment & development. He said that with its superior natural conditions and abundant natural resources such as land, water, and solar radiation, Extremadura is an ideal place for projects of renewable energy development. Chinese companies are welcome to visit and invest in the region. He hoped for more cooperation and exchanges with CPECC through this meeting to jointly make new breakthroughs in the region’s clean energy development.
